As a Royal Air Force Weapons Systems Operator, formerly known as Air Electronics Operator, you will be controlling the weapon and rescue systems on aircraft such as the Nimrod, AWACS, Sea King and ASTOR.
Following initial training you will be promoted to the rank of Aircrew Sergeant and will conduct professional training for just over a year at RAF College Cranwell in Lincolnshire. At the end of this training you will be posted to a front line aircraft and can expect to fly exercises and operations around the world as well as at home in the UK.
